On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, the Faculty of Computer Science (FILKOM) and the Faculty of Agriculture (FAPERTA) officially released the students participating in the 2025 Real Work Lecture (KKN) in a ceremony full of enthusiasm and emotion. The release ceremony, which took place in the main hall of the campus, was a historic moment that marked the beginning of student service to the community in various regions.
The activity began with warm remarks from faculty leaders who provided motivation and a deep message about the importance of the role of students as agents of change. In his speech, the Dean of FILKOM emphasized that KKN is not just an academic obligation, but a concrete manifestation of the collaboration of science and social action. Meanwhile, the Dean of FAPERTA underlined the contribution of students in supporting food security and technology-based village development.
A total of hundreds of students from both faculties will be deployed to a number of areas to carry out thematic programs that focus on the development of appropriate technology, sustainable agriculture, digital literacy, and public health education. With a cross-disciplinary spirit, the students are expected to be able to provide innovative solutions and empower local potential.
The atmosphere of the release was even more moving when the students' struggle song was sung, accompanied by a joint prayer as a form of hope that all KKN participants will always be given safety, smoothness, and blessings while carrying out their service in the community.
The release of KKN 2025 is clear evidence of the commitment of FILKOM and FAPERTA in producing graduates who are not only academically superior, but also sensitive to social needs. Hopefully this first step will be a bright spot for the birth of various innovations and synergies that benefit the wider community.
