The Faculty of Computer Science (FILKOM) carries out an Industrial Visit activity attended by students and lecturers as part of efforts to enhance academic insight and students' understanding of the working world and information technology development. This activity is carried out by visiting the company @Amerika as well as the Tanjung Jaya Beach tourist destination located in Pandeglang Regency, Banten.
Industrial visits are a form of field learning aimed at providing real experience to students regarding the implementation of the knowledge and technology studied during lectures. Through this activity, students can gain a broader understanding of the professional work environment, organizational culture, and the application of technology in supporting company operational activities.
During their time in @America, participants had the opportunity to learn about various company activities, the work systems implemented, and the utilization of technology to support productivity and services. The activities also included material presentations, discussions, and interactive Q&A sessions. Students showed high enthusiasm by asking various questions related to industry developments, competency requirements in the digital era, and career opportunities for graduates in the field of information technology.
Through this activity, students gain a more concrete picture of the challenges and opportunities they will face after completing higher education. In addition, industrial visits also serve as a means to broaden insight and foster motivation to improve both academic abilities and professional skills.
After completing the industrial visit agenda, the group continued the activities to Tanjung Jaya Beach, one of the beach tourism destinations that has a beautiful natural panorama and is an attraction for tourists in the Pandeglang area. This visit aims to provide participants with the opportunity to enjoy the natural atmosphere while also strengthening the bond between students and lecturers in a more relaxed setting.
Tanjung Jaya Beach offers enchanting sea views, vast stretches of sand, and a comfortable environment for various recreational activities. While at the location, participants took the opportunity to rest, interact, and document various moments of togetherness.
This industrial visit activity is expected to provide significant benefits for students, both in academic aspects and in the development of professional insight. With the experience gained directly from the industrial world, students are expected to be able to increase their readiness in facing technological developments and the increasingly dynamic needs of the workforce.
