KUALA LUMPUR, January 27, 2026 - The series of strategic activities under the International Tridharma Visit and Academic Program (Batch 6) participated in by the Faculty of Computer Science, Djuanda University (UNIDA), officially began in Malaysia on Tuesday (January 27, 2026). Under the theme "Strengthening International Academic Networks," the Faculty of Computer Science academic delegation embarked on a five-day international agenda (January 27–31, 2026). It began with an institutional and academic meeting at the MARA Food Technology Incubator (INTEM), KIP Industrial Park, Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory. This first day's activities kicked off a series of international events, including guest lectures, exploration of international research collaborations, student mobility, international community service (PKM), and participation in the ASEANACA International Conference (6th ICOSTELM 2026). All of these activities were designed to implement the Tri Dharma of Higher Education on a global scale.
The visit to INTEM focused on strengthening insights related to technology-based business incubation management, digital innovation, and research downstreaming, all relevant to scientific development in the field of computer science. The innovation governance model implemented by the Malaysian government agency, Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), serves as a strategic reference for the Faculty of Computer Science. in developing applied research, technological entrepreneurship, and collaboration with industry. This international program is also designed to support the University's Key Performance Indicators (KPI), specifically KPI 3 (Lecturers Engaging in Off-Campus Activities) and KPI 6 (Collaborative Study Programs with World-Class Partners). Through this activity, Faculty of Computer Science lecturers not only serve as teachers but also as researchers and facilitators of international collaboration.
The Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs of Djuanda University, Dr. Aal Lukmanul Hakim, SH, MH, emphasized that the Faculty of Computer Science's involvement in the Tridharma International Visit is part of the institution's commitment to improving academic quality and global competitiveness. This "Tridharma International Visit" activity is a concrete implementation of the Impactful Campus concept. We encourage lecturers, including those from the Faculty of Computer Science, to actively develop international networks that can lead to research collaboration, community service, and KPI achievement. This international academic forum opens up significant opportunities for scientific development and the institution's reputation."
Meanwhile, Aisah Rini Susanti, S.T., M.Kom, a lecturer from the Faculty of Computer Science, assessed that the visit to INTEM provided new perspectives on the use of information technology, data, and digital systems to support innovation and research-based industrial development. "The experience and discussions at INTEM provided important insights into how technology and innovation are publicly established. This is highly relevant for the development of research in computer science, particularly related to information systems, data science, and the development of digital solutions that directly impact society," said Aisah Rini Susanti, S.T., M.Kom.
The Tridharma International Academic Visit and Program (Batch 6) will run until January 31, 2026, targeting several universities and academic communities in Malaysia.
